The Japanese Bobtail comes as both a longhair and shorthair and its name comes from its unique pom-pom like tail. They are very active, but also very loyal and affectionate. They are very intelligent cats and are always curious about things and might make a variety of sounds to get its paws on something interesting. These cats, when first introduced were popular in bicolor and tricolor (2 & 3 colors respectively) but are now accepted in any color, though they are a bit rare.
